Hi Margie,
I drempt of your family last night, and woke up feeling so grateful to have ya'll out there and seeing how strong a family you've become. I want you to know I'm really proud of you for stepping up and trying to get things back on track now in the middle of all that has been going on. Family is so important it's crucial to stay a unit. Don't be discouraged when things get tough, especially with Nicki- you are a strong gal and she has strong opinions too, she is who she is and all you can do is be your best self, set the best example you can for your children. Good luck, and we all love you guys so much!!!!

I wish I had a friend like you Margene. You're fresh, fun,and full of ideas. I've been so stagnant for so long, and you give me a lift and a push to go out there and get my dreams. I'm a newcomer to your blog posts. Just stumbled onto it today. I really hope you keep posting for a long time coming!

MARGIE. WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING. WHAT. WHAT. WHAAAAT.

Awww, Margie. It'll get better soon. At least I hope Scheffer and Olsen will take good care of you through the season.

What, you don't know who they are? These men who've been controlling your whole life and are solely responsible for your current misery?

...

Will you take the blue pill or the red pill?

I love Big Love, don't get me wrong. However some of the people that make comments to the "Margene Blog", well, haven't they realized, this is only fiction! It is simply a nighttime soap opera! Are these comments for real? Take for instance the comment from "Jen", she implies the character of Margene as being a real person! It is great to enjoy a show, but it is, after all, just a show! Margene isn't real Jen....not now, or ever! I am Mormon, and would welcome polygamy if it were to become legal. And I could see my life being somewhat parallel to that of the Hendrickson's, but again, this isn't real life. Women don't just give their marriages up to another woman that easily. I am 50 years old. I wouldn't mind my husband taking a younger woman. But I have never been the jealous type. Put me in the situation, and I might be singing a different tune. Who knows? But Jen, it is only a show!

Dear Tonja-

Yes, we know.

We know it is only a show but it is fun to pretend, which is the whole point of Margene's blog. There is even a term for it "suspension of Disbelief" it is what makes television and plays entertaining. chill out and enjoy the entertainment and let other people enjoy it in their own way will ya?

Have to be honest, Margene's character is completely brainwashed. Margene has always needed validation and confirmation from wherever she could get it, and this is her latest idea. Also, I wonder how some men might feel if their wives were to marry multiple husbands. Even in Paint Your Wagon they could handle it, but some women in the year 2011 act like it would only be holy and good for a man to have multiple wives. Just call it what it is: endorsement to have sex with whoever you want, whenever you want! So do not judge single people who do it if you want to slap a title on your sex life and call it holy.

Hi all,

the thing I am very curious about is whether the video & text blog material we see here, as well as the replies, are the work of:

(a) Ginnifer Goodwin herself, in sort of a prolonged method-acting stint, where she ocmpletely melds into the identity of Margene?

OR

(b) Olsen & Scheffer themselves, taking the time to actually pen the scripts?

OR

(c) Santa's little helpers, *ahem*, I mean the screenwriters and other assorted assistants of Olsen & Scheffer?

Oh and I'd like a response to this (if possible) from the owners/administrators of this website, rather than the users. Conjecture from the users, while interesting, will not be guaranteed to be the accurate answer to the above.

Thanks in advance! Cheers.

OMG...I can't stop laughing. Is this seriously what you people think about? It's a television show, for entertainment purposes. No wonder this country is in the shape it's in.

I must say I love this show and its cool that they think outside of the box to give the characters their own blogs. I guess it gives you a closer connection with the charaacters...Polygamy has always interested me for some reason, I always find myself thinking if I were born into that life, how would I view myself and the outside world????? But anways, love the show sad that this is the last season, but it was a great 5 years. To the cast and crew of BIG LOVE, GREAT JOB!!!!!!

Think about it,,,,how many of us are ready to step into "The Light" as Bill?

JS stood up in "The Light" ... JS was inspired to bring a bigger love to the world.
The Prophet Joseph Smith did as the great prophets of the past. He searched his soul for the voice and then the intrepretation of the Spirit. He built his pallet of the Bible both OT & NT and then of the Spirit's kend presence to create. Yes JS errored. JS dabbled with questions, borrowings, he bent,, yet his stride more often brought him back to his knees to ask of the Lord.

Barb, Nikki and Marginni, cleave to our husband Bill!

In "The Principle" the ultimate Love Union with God is created. These words appear only to be a physical statement to those dehydrated of the Spirit.

But drink of the Spirit and ye shall know, The Principle lives first and last in Spirit. Our physical bodies are but a verb of the spiritual creation we must witness first.

Jesus gives a drink to those that thirst -- arise and drink from the cup!
Jesus told of the two greatest commandments.
Apostles, prophets, revelators and priests have in faith spoke of their spiritual promptings for thousands of years.
How hard and tattered we are two thousand years later on fulfillment of the "two greatest commandments."
.
Our Lord is not deceived. And as you can be imbued, you too can also rise above the deception of selfishness.
Seek to study The Truth: The Principle! Not in the narrow, but in its larger, plural fullness. To Provide. To Serve. To Fulfill.

Thanks be to God for the producers. Now fellow bloggers....go forth and ...
SEEK a sense of community. SEEK a spiritual knowledge of our Creator. SEEK insight into your own thoughts and actions… so that you can drink and be not spiritually dehydrated…….. BIG LOVE the series that has kindled your interests, will soon rest. Convert that time to go forward & SEEK.

"The Principle" is real.
As always,
Your Brother Irwin

“YEA, LET THE CRY GO FORTH AMONG ALL PEOPLE: AWAKE AND ARISE AND GO FORTH TO MEET THE BRIDEGROOM; BEHOLD AND LO, THE BRIDEGROOM COMETH; GO YE OUT TO MEET HIM. PREPARE YOURSELVES FOR THE GREAT DAY FOR US ALL” D&C

Greetings one & ALL!

Brother Irwin thanks for the scripture reading!

I am scheduled to visit Bill after the next GC. Any chances you can came down from your snowy lands of Canada?
We have been catching your Canadian winter blasts down here in Alpine, TX....it might even clear a few cactus for me!

On a serious note I am concerned about the need for us to come out in numbers and show our support for Bill....and with all of our wives and children. It will be tough for one or two of my wives, but I am certain they will see the Light. Can I count you at a moments notice to make that journey with your families for a show of force..... with the implicit banner of "Faith In Action"!!!

And of course, Dear Dear Sister Marginni you are the Rock as I have always known. Keep that shoulder to the wheel my dear sister!

Act in truth. Then Multiply It.

BE The Beauty.
Be The Truth.

With Great Love and Prayers.
Read your BOM daily
...until then my Dear Sister Margene,

Grow In The Word......And please, tell me more of your experiments in TRUTH!

Bearie,

That's just the point. Polygamy isn't about screwing around. It's about an alternative way of having a family. Just because it isn't your choice doesn't mean it's wrong. If everyone involved is a consenting adult (yes, I know there are issues with Margene's age), then it shouldn't be of concern to anyone else. For more info, check out Philip Kilbride's "Plural Marriage for Out Times". On the the more liberal side there is Debra Anapol's "Polyamory: Love Without Limits"...I do wish the authors' would sometime put a little bit humor in the show, to balance out the drama

Hey girlie, I'm damn proud of all of you! Congrats to Bill for senator! I so wanted to stand up and cheer in my living room. Please hug Lois for me, give her strength to deal with what she has! Ameen

Thanks Bro Irwin!

It is funny how a fantasy presentation of polygamy is sparking an interest in people.
I know I don't know anything about your church doctrine on this,

but I am going to investigate!

As a former cult member watching this show fascinates me. Although the cult I was part of was not polygamist, the leader of the cult had sexual relationships with young single women of our compound.
The manipulation of our relationships is something that I still can't get over it after 2 years of having left the compound.

Hey Tonja.....

What?? You mean to tell me Margie isn't a real person???? I'm stunned!! Shocked!!!! Wow, .thank you so much for enlightening me, I really had no idea. Whatever will I do now??

Yes, we all know it is only a show! It is just kind of nice to pretend sometimes, you know..... extend belief just a little bit for the sake of fun! But thanks for trying to take that away from the rest of us who really enjoy a good t.v. show. Appreciate it....
