Here We Go

Things are taking a turn for the worse.

We’re in the papers, we’re on the news, we’re everywhere. Everyone is on to us. Our phones are ringing off the hook. We’re just out there in the open now – exposed, cold, and uncertain of what’s next. And it doesn’t feel like I thought. Instead of pride and comfort I’m feeling guilt and humiliation. People are calling us liars, but we’re finally coming clean about our true beliefs, our true lifestyle, who we are. And we’re truly proud of who we are.

Sarah called on election night crying – bawling – saying how proud she was when she watched the four of us taking each other’s hands on the news.

It’s all going to be tough. On election night there were still quite a few bruised feelings between us. Plenty of tension between Bill and Barb, between Benny and me, between all the wives. We need to regroup and sort ourselves out before we can start our new lives as a public plural family. So, Bill is taking us camping for a few days.

We need, need, need to get out of Salt Lake for a little while. It will be nice to just escape it all. We’ll set up camp in the middle of nowhere and then come back to the world with a fresh mind, ready for whatever comes next.

Well, here we go. I love you all and no matter what, Internet, I will check in with you again. No matter what.

Love always,

Margie

Margene,
I was so proud when you all took stage & came out for who your family truley is. It is about time that you will be able act as one family. Family is hard work & I can't imagine the test and strain you must be going thru during this transition. All of you will be in my thoughts!

I thought it was so wonderful that you all finally came out of your closets. I believe that all people have freedom of religion and I think that includes multiple marriages when that is part of your religion. I also am so sorry that this is the final season, becauise now that you have come out. I believe the greatest shows could just be starting. Whatever you do I will be watching. I think you are a great actress and have a very bright future in T.V. and movies. Hugs Mary Jo

Margene, if there is one thing I've learned about people is that they fear the unfamiliar. You and your family coming out to the world was a good thing. It shows that you all love each other and believe in the life you are leading. I know it must be scary for you at the moment but keep your nerve and resolve strong. Blessings to you and your family.

I was so shocked we you all exposed yourselves. You and your family had went through so much before then but i think exposing your lifestyle knowing what people would think about you shows how much you all truly love each other. I watch the show all the time and from season one to season four your family has always had each others back no matter what the situation was and thats the true meaning of family. Best of wishes :-)

p.s. you are an amazing actress! xoxo

It was great to watch! And amazing to think that could really happen. Being from SLC and not a polygamist it's interesting to see what it could truly be like. I love the show! Love the drama between you and Benny! It's sad this is the last season! :(

Can't wait for Sunday!!!

Margene, You are adorable and filled with love. I would select you for a sister wife any day! Your fans want to see everything work out well for the family. But it sounds like a bumpy road ahead. Looking forward to the new season.

So, I can't say I understand how you and your sisterwives can share one man, but I do admire your commitment to family. And, as long as you all are consenting adults...more power to you. Who am I or anyone else to judge what feels right to you?

I have to say that I loved the show. I have watched all the seasons. I really loved Roman and of course his crazy son Albie. However I'm starting to feel that Bill has screwed a lot of people over in the course of a few seasons on this show. He is driven by his own selfish needs. ( IE look what he did to that family on the reservation at the Casino ) That was just plain WRONG. Than he tricked the the voters of Utah to place him in office. He next had the nerve to want to come clean after being put in office and actually thought it was god putting him up to all this stuff. Please if he was a real man he would have stepped out into " The Light " long before he took an oath of office. He just continues to hide behind god, while he does what ever he can dream up next. Margie should go to jail just as soon as they find out her marriage to Gordon was a shame.

Margene - I can't wait until the fifth season starts...only 2 more days. I have watched all four seasons and will be sad to see BigLove go. Just when things are getting heated up they pull the plug. For you and your sisterwives to finally come out and announce your marriages takes a lot of courage and faith and that's something a lot of people just don't have. Best of luck to you and everyone else in the future.

I can not believe that this is the last and final season, I was devasted to hear it! I love you and your family, it made me think that its correct it does take a village to raise a family!! Not that u are a village but the extra wives help fill in! I am glad that you exposed yourselves, I thought it would make life easier....... however i guess NOT!! Good luck love you all!! ~~<3~~

Okay, Margene. Here's the thing...I know you are just a fictional character and that this is not a real person's blog, but I do want to say to the world out there that what Big Love has shown me is that I would never want to be in a plural marriage with a person like Bill because he is a "poser". He is selfish and a big fake. His character doesn't even understand what the "principle" was/is all about. They are all little blind mice...but it is, after all, just a show on HBO. And, it isn't even accurate in that a man with three wives should have a large number of kids right now. Come on! Four women and only 9 kids? You have got to be kidding me. There should be at least 15 by now.

I am so sad to see this show ending. It has been a mainstay for the past 4 years. No reason to keep HBO after this season. I have lived in SLC and can relate to alot of the story lines. I am not a Mormon but my mother adopted the religion several years ago. Interesting beliefs. Can't say I agree with some of them, (protective underwear) but others, (family values) certainly should be spread. As far as sister wives, I whole heartedly believe it would make so many women's lives easier if they had others to help with the burdens of everyday life. The men go to work and come home. I go to work, come home and have EVERYTHING to do around the house on top of it! It would be great to come hone and find the laundry done, or not have to go grocery shopping, or guess what!!?? dinner's in the oven! Holy Cow would that be sweet. Too bad it isn't legal. I'd go for it! Again, it is a sad day that the final countdown will begin this Sunday. All of you will be sorely missed.
I wish you all the best with your careers and hope to see more of you. Please tell "Sarah" she was great in Dear John.
Thanks for the memories.

go marigene, you are the only character that truly knows her mind and has the sense to still be a great person. your loyal and truthful and smart to try and take care of you children ,because bill dosen't have the sense to see which wife is the best.

Margene,
Over the last 4 seasons I have become very attached to you. I am also from Colorado and My mother is almost exactly the same as yours was. After watching the episode where your mother died I cried for an hour because I know that that exact thing is going to happen to me some day. Some man I barely know is going to come to my door and tell me that my mother was drunk and died. I know this is just a television show but I am glad to see an example of someone who is open minded and strong. I can't wait for the last season and I am sad to see it go but I am sure that I will enjoy it all the same. I was a member of a pagan poly-amorous relationship for quite a few years. Things have changed but I know how challenging and how blessing it can be to share your life with more than one person. I wish you and your family nothing but the best. I will also be looking forward to seeing other work that you do after

Thank you again
Shelly

Margene,
You are my favorite wife. But I think you should leave Bill and go with Benny. I think you all should leave Bill who is a poser as somebody else said and leave him with Barb. You are my favorite too.

I am sooo looking forward to tonight! As I could never share my husband with another woman, I am truly jealous of the family relationship u gals have and would love to have sister wives! The family is so close and show's what values a real family should have! Honor, respect, love and moral values! I understand that some people think that it is the most ridicoulos relationship in the world but to each his own and should not be judged by man. I don't see how God would fault you for what you are doing as you worship him and he is the one that matters! God bless all of you and I wish you all the best of luck!

I have loved the Big Love family since america was introduced to this clan, however this last season was not up to the standards of the following previous seasons. the story-line was all over the place, not one storyline but too many story-lines. I hope this last season brings the family back to reality and some sort of a family relationship. The people are amazing, family structures are missing. Margene is completely acting ridiculous and has no religious values at all. Barb has had enough and needs to just get out of that humiliating situation. Polygamy is one thing, but this situation is unreal. Nicki is the only wife who ever had a real spiritual commitment to the family, Barb just entered into it to keep Bill. I think Nicki will be the wife to stay to the end. bill is and always has been all about Bill.
When the show ends we will all miss the Hendrickson family, I just hope the show goes out with a bang... and not on some unbelievable note.Congrats to the marvelous actors for having the ability to pull this last season off, they are all great!
