Life Is But A Dream

Thank you for all the kind comments, guys! I’m glad I could inspire you to travel the healthy road, too. I very much believe that keeping in shape and eating well is not only important for our time here on Earth, but it will also prepare us for joining our loved ones in the afterlife, whenever that time may come. Don’t worry: not trying to convert you here.

That being said, in addition to healthifying myself, I’m trying to cleanse my mind and body by getting reacquainted with my BOM. I’m so happy with Bill and Barb and Nicki and our kids and this new direction we’re taking. So proud. We’re on this path together, as a family, and we’re all moving along just fine (so far), but I think I need to seek out a little more purpose, personally. More direction. Reading up on some good old Book o’ Mormon might help direct me – us – when to turn left and when to turn right on that path we’re on. And when to just stay put. Scripture gives such great guidance; it’s amazing how just a few sacred words can answer so many questions and make any worries go away. This line from Jacob always reminds me that life as we know it only lasts for the blink of an eye in the grand scheme of things:

“…our lives passed away like as it were unto us a dream…” (Jacob 7:26)

Jacob goes on to say that life here on Earth may very well involve loneliness, wars, mourning, other tribulations, you name it. But if we lead a righteous life battling those endeavors, and if all is said and done in the name of the Lord, then we are promised to be rewarded handsomely. Jacob speaks these words on his deathbed just before ascending to the Heavenly Kingdom with the knowledge that, after a lifetime of being tested, he has paid his dues and it is his time to finally achieve eternal salvation. And once he’s up there, in Heaven, he’ll look back at his life and realize that it was all so insignificant compared to what lies ahead.

Well, speaking of dreams, I’ve been having a lot of weird ones lately. Last night, I dreamt Bill was driving his Denali with me in the passenger seat. We were on a straight, flat, country road out in the middle of nowhere, just driving along and enjoying each other’s company. Singing, laughing. No destination. Windows down. It was a beautiful summer day. Sunny, hot, blue sky. Suddenly a chilly breeze swept through the car, so we rolled up the windows. It became so cold that I needed to turn on the heat. “No big deal,” we thought, and kept on driving. As frost and fog began to cover the windows, I drew my name and some cute little pictures with my finger on the glass. It kept getting colder. Then before I knew it there was a heap of snow covering the hood of the car. “Okay slow down, Bill,” but he kept getting faster. “Bill! Slow down.” He sped up even more as the storm got worse. “No,” he said, and with that the Denali started sliding sideways and backwards and allways down the road that earlier had been so clear and safe. I screamed as the car spun completely out of control but Bill just sat staring ahead at the windshield, calm and collected. “It’s okay. Everything’s fine,” he kept saying. What?! The car was about to crash or roll over! Nothing was fine! Without thinking, I opened my door, jumped out, and landed softly on a mound of snow as the car and Bill kept going. I watched as the car jolted over an embankment, and next thing I knew Bill had gone and spun himself right into an icy lake. The Denali disappeared under the water, no Bill in sight, so I ran stumbling through the snow in my sandals to save him. And just as I dove into the freezing, biting, numbing water to go after my husband, I woke up.

I always ask myself: what if something happened to one of us? What if Bill’s life was threatened somehow? What if Barb – God forbid – were to relapse all of a sudden? And I had to step up to the plate? What if somehow I was left in charge of the family? Would I be ready?

When I think back to Jacob and his words of wisdom, questions like that become obsolete. Good ol’ Jake, always putting me in the right place. My family is on this path for a reason, and if we stick to it we will be rewarded just like Jacob was. Life as we know it will seem just as short and trivial as the dreams we have at night. One day we will all join each other up there, look back, and know that all we’ve gone through – the casino, Senate, Ana, our children – fit together like pieces in a puzzle. Every little aspect of life will have played a part in achieving our salvation, and we’ll live together up there for eternity without any worries at all.

Hopefully we won’t run into any of Nicki’s creepy relatives.

It is great to hear you thrive in Love & Truth dear Sister!

I beleive that Bill and Margene, Barbara and Niki are set for a great change in the Aspen this Fall. Zion is always glorous, but even more so in October & Novemeber!

Don't worry that they may believe you are converting, our blog-family is ready for thoughtful words whether they come as words of Wisdom from the Old Testament, New Testament, BOM, Pearl of Great Price, the Quran.... lay it on us girl!

Thank you for mentioning the book of Jacob. That is so great you had been pondering on Jacob 7:26.....I have been pondering on the next scripture Jacob 7:27!

In that following scripture we can find a message for today.....Jacob 7:27, "And I saw that I must soon go down to my grave; wherefore, ....and I told him the things which my brother Nephi had commanded me, and he promised obedience unto the commands. I make an end of my writing ....and to the reader I bid farewell.....Brethren, adieu."

From that I can hear the trumpting of Moroni!! This is the Dispensation of change from which the Brothers & Sisters of Righteous Polygamy will cast the whitened-flowers of Truth upon every street corner, valley and mount! The Henrickson's shall be as the ball-of-fire-n-Truth to come from the Heavens, where all will gaze and amaze. In the clamour of biteing-n-hisings, shall they then come, the righteous many to join in this grand display!
The final restoration of the True Word. So that many can rise beyond the terceraries right up to the highest of highs in Celestial Heaven.

And in so doing, the example of Famlies Forever, here and there, shall be restored for all the world to see and then even the not-yet-Believers will elect to be baptized!
And then family by family sealed into the eternities, they will come, to join in this great celebration! We will have healed what was broken 120 years ago -- under the pains to not to loose our earthly temples they lost Heavenly Salvation -- but now that day of full restoration can begin!

RESTORED!
Yes, this is sure to usher in the final days...The Latter Day rewards can begin if you will arise my Dear Margene! Keep up your prayers! Your BOM studies!
Surprise them all!
Even those whom write to create!

You are making it clear to us all that you are sticking by Bill. You are so fickle. It was not too long ago that you were all giddy with Ana and her new husband. Before that, you were even smoking in the bathroom, considering leaving. Then you stuck around just to prove to the sister wives that they were all wrong about you.

I am wondering what it is that YOU really want, regardless of proving to the sister wives that you "can do it." it appears that you really want to be successful and independent. You probably gave that up too, just to prove to them that you can do it.

Hey, where are Barb and Nikki's websites/blogs? Why is it that only you are being groomed to be the favorite wife?

Does Bill have a blog? ( i have no idea why, btit I cannot get into HBO's website and the BL website. I would love to comment there, but I can only get in once in awhile. I have gotten in twice so far, but I never had the time to comment either time.)

It would be cool if there were a website for "Home Plus."

I sure hope that you did not move into tha new look-alike big house. Just because Bill Paxton sat down with the writers and told them that Bill H should have more power (or whatever) they do not have to listen. You wives would all get on each other's nerves.

Whatever happens with you, Marge, we all want to see more of you when the time comes. Nine episodes was not enough. Neither is ten. There are not nearlty enough reruns as well. You know that ShoTime is still showing reruns of Tara until October!

Enjoy your dreams, but I hope the season premiere shows some passage of time. There are so many children in the houses that it only makes sense. Wouldn't it be cool to premiere the season a year later and Nikki with infant twins?
